Oh boy oh boy. It’s that time of year again….wedding season! And I LOVE IT! I love the weddings, the colors, the flowers, the food, the blogs, the new styles and trends, the unexpected, the photography, the jewelry and of course, the INVITATIONS! This year I have had the pleasure of working on a couple of friend’s Save the Dates (STD’s) and wedding invitations as well as some STD’s for an engagement photography client. It’s so much fun to design for these types of events. I’ll share some of the STD’s I’ve been doing lately over the course of this week. As soon as the invites go out I’ll come back and post those as well.
In the meantime, I’ll start off the week by sharing my invitations from 3.5 years ago, just for fun. Just because I found them last week in a box in the garage. Nick and I were married on my aunt and uncle’s ranch, El Rancho Encanto, in Tucson, AZ. It was a southwestern themed wedding complete with our own mariachi band. I had a lot of fun with the invites. It was a mismatched set. I even got to bust out some of my old drawing skills on the rodeo cowboy…and I probably haven’t used them since. And it’s probably a good thing. Boy, how the fonts change through the years. Eeks! Looking back, I am not loving all of the fonts but I still do love these invites. It was such a fun project!
