Evan & Natalie – Engaged

Two of our really great friends got engaged last November on the coast. The engagement was amazing. Both families were secretly invited, unknown to Natalie, to witness it. They were walking on the beach on the Oregon Coast, searching for glass floats when Natalie suddenly spotted one. (Lincoln City occasionally plants floats on the beach for tourists to find…I should also add that I am telling the story how I remember it. Some or all of the details may be fabricated in this wild imagination of mine). They ran up to grab the flat and Evan dropped to one knee. Proposal began, tears were a-flying. Meanwhile, both families were walking up the beach towards them videotaping the whole thing. Natalie was BAWLING. If I remember correctly…she even forgot to answer for a bit. They spent the rest of the weekend with both families in their beach house. We’d been hoping for this for awhile now…and had a feeling this was the weekend.

Those stinkers had to plan the longest engagement known to man. Almost a year has past and we still have another 9 months until the big day. Nick and I are both going to be in the wedding which makes me quite excited. We met last week for a little engagement session as we are getting ready to start on their invites. Stay tuned. How cool are they by the way? I love their style!

Typically the ladies are the ones doing all of the planning with me. The men show up, typically with great attitudes, just there to make their lady happy. Evan, and this is quite refreshing, got really into it. He came with great ideas and props. This Save the Date board was HIS idea and he even made a diagram ahead of time to see where the letters went. Love it!

Happy face.
