Last night we had our second softball game of the season. I play on my husband’s work team. It’s a kick in the pants and a really fun group of people. We are quite colorful.

I used to play quite a bit of softball in my early years. I grew up in a baseball breathing and breeding family. (And tennis). Tennis and I never quite became best friends but I definitely always loved softball. My brother played pro for a few years and my cousin still is. He’s the shortstop for the Twins right now. Yes, we really love our sports. Back to my softball years…I was never amazing but I was definitely WAYYYY better than I am now. It’s crazy how a decade of no practice and little to moderate exercise can really make you digress. I sure do love it though!

And here’s a completely unrelated photo of my best buddy, Gus.

Hollan - You are so good. Those pics look really amazing. It’s only partly the new camera, because you have such a good eye. I wish I could watch a game! We had so much fun playing softball when we were little. Remember Bobbi Sox? What the heck is that? I don’t think kids even play it anymore. :)

Crissie McDowell - Bobby sox. Oh yeah, like in East Tucson. Well, it’s nothing compared to Bruce’s Thunder Chickens. I remember the bobby sox outfits were so darn proper.
