5 tbsp. olive oil
1 large onion, diced
3 – 28 oz cans whole tomatoes
Salt and pepper
Fresh basil, generous handful
1. In sauce pot large enough to hold everything, saute onions in oil until translucent
2. Add tomatoes and simmer for 20-30 minutes.
3. Season to taste.
4. Add basil and cook for a few more minutes.
5. Serve over pasta of your choice.
